Thursday 13/12/2007 saw the annual end of year BJJ grading at Lange's Martial Arts, Manly.
It was quite a large event with many gradings including blue,purple & brown belt gradings.
Through out the night I had the opportunity to wrestle with many of the guys & would have
to say that the standard of all grading was exceptionally high.At the end of the night myself
& my old training buddy Rod Cousins were matched up against each other in a very technical
brown belt match,after which we were both awarded our BJJ Black Belts by head instructor
Mr Anthony Lange.I would like to thank my wife Belinda for her understanding & support over
the years.The many years it takes to achieve this level means many evenings alone.It is not
easy being a martial artists wife,she really is my soul mate.Also my long time BJJ coach Anthony
Lange,a pioneer in BJJ in NSW,his technical brillance & open hearted teaching style has always
inspired me.My other BJJ coaches Peter King & Elvis Sinosic,you guy's are great.I look forward
to living up to this belts reputation & passing on my knowledge to all my students.
