Three competitors from our club fought in the state pankration titles on Sunday. Jake Farnsworth at 8 years old, impressed the crowd fighting up a division against 10 & 11 year olds that out weighed him by up to 11kgs, thats nearly 50% of his body weight. A very courageous effort & great sign of his potential in taking out 2nd place.

Ara Aroutiounian bowed out against the eventual winner of his division via a controversial judges decision that even left the referee shrugging his shoulders. Keep you chin up Ara, (or should that be down), Luck is sure to come your way soon, well done 3rd place.

Robert Sabaruddin fought with his usual flamboyant style, constantly looking for submissions in his first match & then coming out in the final & submitting his opponent in around 30 seconds via leg bar. Rob is now the under 64kg NSW Pankration Champion. Well done Rob you definitely deserve your title.
